Born in Panama and raised in the US by Hispanic/Caribbean parents, Yodeshka was a quiet, shy girl who would sing in her room while her family wasn't paying attention. She went to Auburn High School specifically to join the Creative and Performing Arts program. There, she was apart of a choir, dance, and tech theater class where she furthered her studies in different forms of arts for the next 4 years. At 21 years old, Yodeshka decided to start writing music as an outlet to express herself but never took it serious. One of those songs she wrote was "Caught Up." From then on, Yodeshka would go sing at karaoke bars weekly to lose her stagefright and find her voice. Finally gaining the courage to take music seriously at 23, Yodeshka performed "Caught Up" for the first time at a gig in October of 2022 and received positive feedback from the crowd. She would then immediately go on to studio record an EP called "Love Phases" which includes "Caught Up," in November of 2022.
