Desideratum

Salem Oregon

Born in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Desideratum is a Salem-based Murder Folk-Punk Rock band weaving raw emotional storytelling with haunting melodies and driving rhythms. Equal parts grit and grace, their sound blends the eclectic soul of folk with the defiant edge of punk-rock. A sonic journey through loss, longing, rebellion, and redemption. Drawing influence from genres as diverse as Americana, alt-rock, metal, and post-hardcore, Desideratum carves out a space where delicate lyrical lines clash with thunderous choruses and cathartic guitar. Their songs feel lived-in, painfully heavy with truth, sweat, and heart. Echoing stories of love, survival, and the ghosts we carry. Known for their high-energy live shows and poetic intensity, Desideratum has become a rising force in Oregon’s underground scene, turning basement shows and small stages into moments of raw connection and release.
