Treacle Farthing Band is an AI band created by Dino Alonso Creates. The project explores late-60s and early-70s psychedelic and protest-folk rock, built on fuzz-wah guitar, Woodstock-era arrangements, and hymn-and-chant choruses, mining new songs from that era with the hindsight the originals never had. At the center is Treacle Farthing, in his Mad Hatter coat and clock-face top hat, and his brother Jam Farthing, who carries the family voice into arena territory when a song needs more weight than Treacle's comic instability can hold. Around them is a full band pulled straight out of the period, moving from hallucinatory dream-state openers to funeral-oratory dirges to protest anthems built for a crowd to chant back. The current project is a live album staged as a set at Woodstock, sunrise to sunset, crowd noise and all, no studio gloss. New tracks are landing one at a time as the album comes together.
