I grew up in Nashville and was exposed to music early on...my father was a guitarist and my uncle, a fiddler on the Grand Ole Opry. In high school I became serious about music and played in all types of bands and song writers around Nashville. After time in the U.S. Air Force, I moved to New York to experience a wider range of music. I played in clubs in New York City and New Jersey. I then became a program editor at a classical radio station, then a classical music editor, and later a music editor for a stereo gear magazine. I left publishing to be a string teacher in a middle school and now I am a music technology teacher in a high school.
