I didn't start writing songs because I wanted to be a musician. I started writing because there were things I couldn't seem to get out of my head. Most of my songs come from real life. Things I've been through, people I've known, mistakes I've made, and moments that stuck with me long after they should have. Sometimes it's about loss. Sometimes it's about moving on. Sometimes it's about things that never got said. I don't try to write perfect songs. I just try to write honest ones. The kind that sound like something a real person would actually say. If you hear yourself in one of them, then maybe we're not as different as we think.
