I look at the clock, it’s long past midnight, This night got the best of me, I’ve got no control. Searching for my keys, but my fingers feel like cotton, I know once I hit that door, I’m catching heat. You’re standing there like a statue, hand on hip and a stern tone, My head is pounding like a bell’s ringing in there. “Where were you?!” – you scream, while I’m just trying to stay upright, Sorry, baby, I lost touch with reality in the city tonight. Baby, I care for you, I love you, I adore you so much, even if you don't believe me now, I’m gonna marry you! Stop lying to me! Tell me where you were yesterday, you’re drunk again, You’re totally wasted, you better explain yourself, Tell me where you were yesterday, you’re drunk again, You’re totally wasted, you better explain yourself. I’ll tell you exactly where I was, just forgive these short circuits, I swear I stayed away from those damn slot machines! I still got all my cash left in my pocket today, I brought it home to buy you some brand-new shoes. I promise you on my knees, I’m gonna be on my best behavior, I’ll buy you those expensive clothes, take you out on Saturday. Don’t scream so loud, my love, my head is spinning crazy, Even when you’re mad, you’re so damn sexy, look into my eyes. Go to hell! Tell me where you were yesterday, you’re drunk again, You’re totally wasted, you better explain yourself, Tell me where you were yesterday, you’re drunk again, You’re totally wasted, you better explain yourself. Baby, I care for you, I love you, I adore you so much, even if you don't believe me now, I’m gonna marry you! Stop lying to me! Tell me where you were yesterday, you’re drunk again, You’re totally wasted, you better explain yourself, Tell me where you were yesterday, you’re drunk again... more
