Hailing from the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and coastal redwoods in California, Ian Cudney is a songwriter that draws from a variety of musical influences and genres, ranging from more alternative rock to acoustic. Having grown up listening to his father and grandfather singing and playing guitar, Ian was constantly surrounded by different kinds of music from the time he was young. While attending the University of California in Santa Cruz, he began singing in acapella and recording demos of original songs. After graduating he began playing occasional open mics and small gigs, working during the day while practicing and recording in a friends studio above a music store during the evenings.
