Joel Edmunds, professionally known as J Ed, is a hip-hop artist and creative from Carlisle, Cumbria. The 22-year-old breathes a breath of fresh air into the UK rap game, incorporating his love for great music, storytelling and cinema, providing a profound perspective, that could only be thought of by the young Cumbrian artist. After beginning his journey into music in 2018, Joel has been a sponge to sound and learnt what works, what doesn’t and picked up a tonne of experience, producing, recording and sound designing at the University of Salford. Now, after a long hiatus from sharing music, J Ed is back and hungry as ever, with the drive and ambition to tell his stories and create something special and separate from anything that has came before.
