We are 2 unaccomplished songwriters who have failed to break into the recording business via the conventional means of networking and following popular trends in music. After years of feeling like our ideas were being exploited or suppressed by the engineers we relied upon, we studied audio engineering and invested in the equipment we needed to produce our own material. Now we are able to produce a whole catalogue of songs using sounds and samples we have been told not to use; we try to balance serious with silly, both meaningful and absurd, so we can blend the best practices of audio engineering without catering to popular trends and sex appeal. Our goal is to push the limit of dynamic music using cheap equipment and clever digital strategies, so we can eventually help others like us, whose unique creativity perhaps limits their opportunities to reach their goals.

Apopleptical
This is the first track I released, January 2024, after taking about a year off my "real job" to learn audio engineering. It was more fun than science, while I was trying to channel "Elephant Talk" out of my cheap midi controller, I am trying to prove that bad samples and cheap equipment can make some of the most interesting sounding stuff!more

delusions of grandeur
we made this song using bright, colorful toys and old recorders. the idea wasn't so much to take great sounding samples and combine them into an equally-great mix, but to create sounds that most studios wouldn't touch and prove that we could get them in there, somehow!more

P.i.P. boy
This is our 3rd album and we are excited to share some of our new experiments! We used some home-made vocals and cheap effects and applied our best mixing practices to get a sound that is simultaneously imposing but self-deprecating, never too intense to feel less than silly.more
