Hailing from Tarboro and raised on the farms of Speed, North Carolina, I cut my teeth priming tobacco, throwing hay, and picking watermelons while also working the local grain mill before the age of 18. I eventually traded small-town fields for building a professional foundation in construction project management.​Now, seasoned by years of hard work and transition, I have turned some focus to songwriting. I write music because I’ve finally reached the age where I have a lifetime of stories worth putting into song.
