From my youngest days I've felt the need to create. I have written and published prose, poetry and theatrical scripts. I have acted and directed in the theatre since I was 12 years old. I create cartoon art. For most of my life one of my biggest regrets was that I couldn't make music. When the pandemic hit and I was laid of work, I took the time to rectify that situation. I signed up for a course in Music Theory and soon I was writing musical scores. After setting up a digital audio workstation I was able to turn those scores into finished songs. The result is X Perry Mental Music. I hope you enjoy.

X Perry Mental's Boogie In F (DnB)
So I had this piano piece- a boogie woogie number. I took the score, gave the bass clef to a bass line, and the treble clef to an 808-909 drum kit. The result is this!more

Chasing Kreskin's Ghost
When I was naming this track I assumed the Amazing Kreskin, a mentalist popular in the 60s and 70s was dead. But he's not! His handler contacted me on Instagram to tell me Kreskin had heard the track and liked it! Crazy!more

A Night on Weird Mountain
Just in time for Halloween! This is my psychedelicized version of Mussorgsky's A Night on Bald Mountain. If you've ever seen the film Fantasia, it's the part at the end that depicts a witches' sabbath. I'm working on a long range project to make psychedelic versions of all the classical numbers in Fantasia.more
