Nigerian rapper, Marcy w TheFlwrs bucked trends, favouring musically rich instrumentals with keys and catchy drums and vivid, sometimes surreal wordplay over the interchangeable trap styles of many of his peers. His personal, often-introspective lyrics and piano-inflected beats met with well-groomed production on his debut solo single 'Bad Decisions'. Marcy w TheFlwrs was born in Kogi in 1997, he started exploring music by playing around with already made beats with influence from his elder brother at an early age, growing more and more interested in music creation in his secodary school years. Marcy w TheFlwrs is one of the two duos from the Hip-Pop duo The Flowers, styled as TheFlwrs based in Nigeria. Single-highhandedly redefining the Nigerian music Hip-Pop scene to put the country back on the map. Marcy cuts cross through different genres fusing real Hip-Hop through with Alternative pop, Afrobeats and Reggae.
