Written a long time ago and now finally out 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Not just another Girl is an upbeat rock anthem about the age old story of a boy meeting a girl.. forbidden fruit for whatever reason you resonate with. The song has its own twists and turns and is both emotionally driven yet cheerfully charged. The layered roaring guitars throughout give it that punk rock feel. It was written/recorded/produced as always from my home studio (bedroom) in Kilmarnock, Scotland. I’m thinking it’s a perfect song coming into the long summer days.. Driving around with it blaring out your car. I think many people would relate to being in this situation at some point in their life and would work both ways. The production for me was very easy to put together as I wanted a raw feel to it just like great rock/punk songs of the past but at the same time bringing my own style through it. It’s all guitars, drums and bass and upbeat from start to finish. I personally love the energy of this song and I am extremely proud of it.more
