It portrays how nationalism, intolerance, and old historical wounds keep people separated and prevent healing. It also criticize blind loyalty to symbols and ideologies while human connection is lost. Images like "spreading oil", "bleeding history" and "towering walls" emphasize how deeply hatred can poison society. But at the same time the chorus is a call to break free from these destructive cycles and extinguish the pain they create.
