Brampton-based artist Melodic Child is often referred to as the “Street Poet” because of his ability to paint pictures from the painful experiences of his past. Before moving Brampton, Melodic was raised in the Jane & Finch area alongside his three sisters and baby brother. His soulful influences range from artists like Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige and Keysha Cole, to Usher, and more. As he grew older, he found himself relating to the trials, tribulations, and successes of artists like Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, Yung Bleu and Rod Wave. After developing his sound for three years, the artist started his own independent label, Dreams 2 Reality, on which he has released Numerous successful singles to date. He is currently gearing up to release his debut project, while taking a year + break the poet (melodic) has returned to the music part of his life with a fresh new look, image & sound.
