Martins Joel Olayemi, popularly known as Mertez was born into the family of Olayemi. He is a great and passionate singer, Rapper and songwriter. He started singing when he was at primary school, he also joined school choir at his secondary school, he participated in a lots of school choir activities and he plays a major role. His music career started up professionally in 2018. Been able to get a chance to perform at shows and events, Mertez became more confident and willing to pursue his dreams.
