Nony1, short for Anonymous One, familiarized himself with the name after wanting to create a personality and voice that wasn’t based on an image. Originally from Athens, Georgia, Nony fell in love with music before he can remember and recalls writing his first lyrics at age 12. After creating a local buzz in Killeen, Texas at the age of 24 under the name Official, Nony took a brief break to pursue spiritual insight and growth, and go on to create and establish his own company known to many as Cheesecaketopia. His October 30, 2020 release, Nony for President, set the tone for who and what Nony1 was bringing to the table. Since December of 2020, Nony has released 6 additional tracks and 2 Visuals including the locally popular STFU and Made For This. Nony draws inspiration from artists such as Andre 3000, T.I., Bun B, Kendrick Lamar and others. His bold political views and interpretation of injustice and inequality makes him stand out from the today’s typical southern based rapper.
