I go by the name PASSMELOCAL and I come straight out of Lesotho. I've been in cape town for the past nine years and my music has evolved ever since. I started rapping in English because I was trying to blend in with the city, but I realised that's not who I am. I decided to change to Sesotho which is my first language and the language I'm currently using in all my music. I moved to Jozi thinking it would be better for me because most Sotho people are on that side. I came back to the mother city because I realized that my duty as a Sesotho artist is to spread my culture throughout the Mother City. There are many Sesotho speaking people in cape town but they all hide their culture because they're trying to blend in. My mission is to show my people in cape town that they don't have to hide but need to embrace who they are and our culture throughout cape town and South Africa.
