Kentucky Roots
My great-grandma was born on September 5th, 1905, and lived a remarkable life until she was 96 and a half years old. Growing up, my family would often visit her in Kentucky. On the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, our entire family, from her siblings to their descendants, would come together for a reunion and to celebrate her birthday. Her house was a second home to us, where she welcomed everyone with open arms, even strangers. She passed away in March of 2002, and since then, we've lost many family members. Time brings inevitable loss, but in my heart, their memories endure. This song is a tribute to the cherished memories left by my great-grandma, grandma, and extended family, and it reflects my pride in our Kentucky roots.more

Hey Boy
My youngest boy was just in an accident the other week, one of which he was luckily enough to have survived and walked away from only with minor cuts and bruising. So, I sat down and wrote this song about him and the love and fear we have as parents. No matter how old our children are, they will always be our babies! more
