Raymond Theard (Ray-T) was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. And as culture would dictate, he began his musical explorations at the ripe age of 11 when he asked his mom to buy him a trumpet. Within 2 years he was the 1st chair and trumpet section leader both in junior middle and high school. While in high school he began teaching himself to play the piano in his music class. This would lead to him writing his first song. He knew then that he always wanted to be a song writer. He joined the US Army right after high school and performed in talent shows and at one time even played the trumpet in the Army band. Raymond Theard is an aspiring composer, producer, and music artist. As a U.S. Army veteran, husband and father, he overcame countless obstacles on the way up, and continues to work hard each and every day to keep his musical journey moving.
