From a small diamond mining town Jwaneng, Botswana, Kgotla was born. I was a little kid from Unit 6 who couldn't finish a single sentence without stuttering. I believe writing music helped with that issue not too sure. We loved writing and recording our music ourselves and hosted our first show at the Debswana Club at only 16 years of age and maaaan did pop off! Thank God I didn't quit making music instead of getting a 'real job' because seeking success in Botswana as a hip hop artist makes for a very interesting journey in your 20s, trust me...
