Shaun Tayaba, San Diego-based Filipino artist, grew up in Southeast San Diego ever since moving to the city with his family from Japan in 2001. His first introduction to creating music was in elementary school when he took piano lessons. However, it was in high school when he began writing his own songs. In 2019, he dropped his first ever single titled "Bigger Plans Freestyle." Shaun received some buzz with his YouTube channel "Shaun Tayaba Reacts" and acquired over 70k subscribers.
