On My Own was born between 3 moody 20 something year olds, in a dim room, by stacking sultry guitar licks. Its gritty percussion (a sharp snare, punchy kick, and 808) intertwine with melancholic strings to embody a longing for power which when combined with the artist's place in life, love, and friendships - allowed the lyrics to write themselves. A piercing guitar solo that resolves to a picardy third is a statement to both loneliness and liberation and fades into a string ensemble that soothes the soul. Thanks for listening!! more
