Indianapolis, IN, USA

Wav Loyel began his journey as an artist by teaching himself how to rap, sing, and produce his own instrumentals. Using only an iPad, Wav uses music as a way to find himself, grow, and communicate with others. Wav's childhood was confusing and stressful, and because of this he would always write lyrics to escape from whatever situation he found himself in. As he entered into early adulthood, he took his hobby for music and turned it into a full-blown passion. Wav's instrumentals are heavily influenced by the hip-hop and trap-soul musical genres. However, he listens to many styles of music, which inspires him to take a different approach when it comes to his vocals; giving his take on what "chill" music would sound like if it were just a little more "hype".
