Mikael Belov is a songwriter, composer, and producer whose work moves between European chanson, jazz, tango, melodic rock, and pop. Singing in French, Italian, Spanish, and English, he writes intimate chanson in the Montand–Brel tradition, smoky late-night jazz and bandoneon-laced tango, guitar-driven rock in the spirit of the Scorpions, the Eagles, and R.E.M., and warm melodic pop. His music belongs to what he calls the art of the AI era: a practice in which modern tools become collaborators in arrangement and sound, while the human core — the poetry, the feeling, the meaning — stays at the center. It is music made deliberately against the disposable and the trend-driven, intended, as he puts it, to last for years rather than a single season. His songs return to memory and nostalgia, love and farewell, and the search for light in the dark — carried by warm, unhurried, gently retro sound.
