James “ Big Boss Noff ” McKnight is a talented young artist, born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, with ties to Eatontown, New Jersey and Lake City, South Carolina. Around the age of eight, McKnight was drawn to music and began making CD’s with his favorite artists from 2Pac, P Diddy, The Notorious B.I.G to say the least and started thinking that it was a career worth pursuing. McKnight says, “My mom and I always used to watch the movie, The Temptations, and I knew I wanted to perform. I used to watch awards shows, like the BET Awards, and I knew I had to get me one.” McKnight names 2Pac, Lil’ Wayne, and Sean “Diddy” Combs as his musical influences and uses their work to inspire his own creativity. He states, “2Pac stood out to me because he was outspoken and always stood solidly behind his beliefs; Lil’ Wayne has an insane work ethic and level of confidence, with the skill to craft dope rhymes within his music; and, Diddy, is the epitome of a successful business man.
