Brett was born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ. He began his music career at a very young age. He was surrounded by music since his father, an entertainer, played keyboards and sang for nearly half a century. As a young roadie by his father’s side, he learned what music moved all levels of audiences. His parents had him and his two younger brothers grow up listening to Motown, Doo-Wop, Classic Rock, 80’s dance hits and more. As Brett and his brothers got older they each dove into more of the Punk Rock, Classic Hip-Hop and Pop music scene. Brett wrote, sang and recorded his very first song when he was eleven years old on a Tyco “Hot Keyz” Synthesizer and a cassette tape deck. Brett continues writing and continues to put his vast background of music into the songs he writes and records today. Brett uses nostalgia and just a “feel good” sense of sound. Pulling harmonies, tones and essence from classics and marrying them with today’s instrumentals and pop sounds is where Brett feels at home.
