Daughter’s Lament
“Daughter’s Lament” was a song I wrote when I was 12. My Mom was very much a troubled woman whom I had to be an adult for. Because of that sometimes I feel like I am more of a child now as an adult than when I was actually a child because of the burden of managing her emotions instead of my own. She could be monstrous but I still loved her which I’m sure is a kind of twistedness that I couldn’t even begin to unravel. more
