CHA is a non-binary creative from Fort Worth, Tx. Growing up on their parent's playlists of hip-hop, rap and R&B, CHA would spend their childhood summers preforming concerts for their family. CHA then began performing alternative and rock music during their teens at the local School of Rock. At 18 years old they moved to Austin, Tx and released their first single on soundcloud. The song caught the attention of a local music collective and soon preformed at parties. CHA then became the lead vocalist of their current band Badasstronauts. CHA blends their influences and experiences to create a sound that is uniquely original and their own. CHA first turned to music to escape the expectations of day to day life and uses the writing process to continuously break down and recreate new personas and identities, experimenting with and rediscovering themselves. CHA believes art in all forms has no boundaries or guidelines. That life is art. That you are in control of creating anything you want.
