Dustin McClary. Originally from Benton, TN, Dustin is a seasoned guitarist whose musical style encompasses bluegrass, jazz influenced-acoustic guitar, blues, and R&B. Dustin was exposed to music from a young age, as his father had his own band, The Blue Ridge Grass. At the age of 14 McClary began playing guitar after seeing the legendary guitarist Tony Rice perform. At 19, McClary moved to Murfreesboro to attend MTSU and pursued a degree in Recreation and Leisure Services. While attending MTSU, Dustin and his brother (Jacob) became friends and roommates with ‘22 IBMA “guitar player of the year” Cody Kilby. Later, Dustin and Jacob formed the McClary Brothers Band. For a span of 6 years, the McClary Brothers Band played venues and private parties in Murfreesboro and the Nashville area. Over the years, McClary has been inspired by blues and jazz guitarists such as Jack Pearson, Wes Montgomery, and Django Reinhardt.
