When I Breathe
This song is basically a raw, heavy vent about feeling completely overwhelmed and trapped by your own mind. It feels like that moment when life gets so intense that even just taking a breath feels like a massive chore. Were tapping into that deep, dark headspace where you're struggling with bad thoughts, emotional pain or a relationship that is draining the life out of you. Instead of just singing a sad song, we use the idea of "breathing" as a metaphor for just trying to survive and keep your head above water when you feel like you're drowning in stress. It is dark, it is honest and it is for anyone who has ever felt suffocated by their own feelings. i still feel you in my chest when i breathe even though you left, you never really leave ghost in my phone, name in my dreams why does loving you still feel like a disease? why does pain like this still sound like peace? cold nights, heart iced love notes in the ashtray, no lights you were a melody, soft+spoken felony tore me apart with your therapy and i lied when i said i'm better wrote your name in a suicide letter she was heaven in the shape of a weapon i was prayin' for death by affection "you ever miss someone who ruined you the best?" i still feel you in my chest when i breathe even though you left, you never really leave ghost in my phone, name in my dreams why does loving you still feel like a disease? why does pain like this still sound like peace? love scars, new tats hate myself and i'm used to that lips red, eyes black tryna find peace in a panic attack you don't text but you haunt my feed every new pic rips out a piece how can silence be so loud when you used to scream just to drown me out? whispers from in the back, i still feel— i still feel you in my chest when i breathe even though you left, dreams nev—really leave ghost in my phone, name in my dreams why does loving you still feel like a disease? why does pain like this still sound like peace? - Mastered by mixea.commore

Heart In The Trunk
This song is basically me being honest about what it feels like to be stuck in a place.. physically and emotionally.. after losing someone I really loved. It’s about driving around my small town at night with the windows down, radio low, just trying to clear my head… but every road, every song, every corner still reminds me of her.. No matter how far I drive, I’m not actually going anywhere. I’m just circling the same memories. When I say I’m “driving with my heart in the trunk” I mean I’m trying to hide how much it still hurts. I act like I’m fine. I smile.. People think I’ve moved on.. But I’m still messed up over it. I still haven’t deleted her name. I still smell her hoodie. I still hear her laugh in my head. That’s the real part of it. The small town plays a big role in the song too. In a place like that, you can’t escape memories. The barstool still creaks. The same people are there.. The sunsets feel the same. Everything feels frozen in time even though everyone says I should be over it by now. It’s also about loving hard. That “small town love” burned fast and bright, like a shooting star. It was real and when something real ends, it doesn’t just disappear because time passes. Some scars stick when the love was true.. and that’s what I’m saying in this song. By the end, nothing’s really changed. Same road. Same rain. Same pain. I’m still here. Still stuck on her. It’s not just a breakup song.. it’s me admitting that sometimes growing up means letting go… and sometimes you’re just not ready to.more

Dear Dad
I wrote Dear Dad from a place I don’t talk about much. My dad and I both battled alcohol. I got sober three years ago. He didn’t. We haven’t seen each other since, and we were never close to begin with. But underneath all of that, he’s still my father. This song is me reaching out, even if he never hears it.more
