2024 OVERWHELM
2024 OVERFLOW: Everything's spiralling out of control and it's all too overwhelming!! The 10th in the 202X Series, at 8000 BPM. 10 more to go! -- To hear 2024 OVERWHELM on other platforms like YouTube and Spotify, go to distrokid.com/hyperfollow/moule/2024-overwhelm and check out the rest of the 202X Series and its merch: distrokid.com/hyperfollow/moule202x -- 2024 OVERWHELM was created on November 15, 2023 and finished 8 days later, during another major musical rut. I didn't feel like making this, but for the sake of consistency with my other 202X releases where each year gets 2 tracks for both halves of the year, I pushed myself through and finished this track. -- As I felt uninspired making this, it was initially hard to put together, so I copied some extratone samples I made for my track Extratone Beauty Cream and 10000 OVERKILL and overlapped them to get the "full-on" sound characteristic of the 202X tracks. -- As per this track's title, it is unapologetically overwhelming, with numerous 8000 BPM blast beats with 4000, 2000, and 1000 BPM blast beats interspersed throughout, as the world's events are just too overwhelming for us and the overton window gets pushed off a cliff. -- I should note that the version I released to Spotify, Apple Music etc is a few seconds shorter to be 9 minutes and 58 seconds, as Apple Music treats tracks over 10 minutes like albums and significantly increases the price. It was intended to fade out seamlessly, but instead cuts off abruptly. Sorry about that! -- As with all my 202X Aesthetic cover artworks, I made using the Assembly app by Pixite on iPad. I started it by importing assets I designed for previous 202X cover artworks, seeing as they would be used again to depict similar events of the first half of this year. This saved me a lot of time and took me 7 hours to create; my previous 202X artwork 2024 OVERFLOW took 11 hours, but that was because I spent more time creating unique elements for it like the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse and the auroras. Symbolising our planet spiralling out of control, a giant spiral covers the artwork with the Earth in the centre, with greater than 1.5ΒΊC global warming. -- Each track's cover artwork in the 202X series has a black-and-another-colour chaotic cartoon collage aesthetic I call the "202X aesthetic" and all include a word starting with "OVER" in their titles. Given the mass feeling of being overwhelmed by world events increasingly spiralling out of control, I eventually decided this track will be codenamed "OVERWHELM" and use grey to symbolise the bleakness and seriousness of current world events. -- You can hear the other 202X tracks here: distrokid.com/hyperfollow/moule202x -- Let me know what you think on the Fediverse at https://MASTODON.MOULE.WORLD/@MOULE (or copy and paste @[email protected] into your own instance's search bar), or visit https://MOULE.WORLD for all MOULE links!more

2024 OVERFLOW
2024 OVERFLOW: The 9th in the 202X extratone series soundtracking the bleak opening to 2024 with sombre piano melodies and 7200 BPM blast beats. -- 🎢 Stream 2024 OVERFLOW: distrokid.com/hyperfollow/moule/2024-overflow 🎢 Stream the rest of the 202X Series: distrokid.com/hyperfollow/moule202x πŸŽ₯ 2024 OVERFLOW Cover Art Timelapse: inv.tux.pizza/watch?v=FqM4F6tHyxg πŸ‘• 2024 OVERFLOW Merch: www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/161541670 πŸ‘• Extratone / 202X Series Merch: www.redbubble.com/people/mouleofficial/shop?artistUserName=MOULEOFFICIAL&collections=3099484&iaCode=all-departments&sortOrder=relevant -- This track began production with the sad piano melody that went through a lot of tweaking before what you hear at the beginning here, before it quickly accelerates into the usual multi-layered extratone blast beat antics typical of the 202X Series. -- My new music-making tactic is exporting my unfinished tracks with beats turned off, and them re-adding reversed samples of them to the same track to complete it. It gives an overall creepy edge to these tracks, representing the surreality of the world we found ourselves in. -- There's not really much else to say about this track, other than it's sad and bleak representing all the wars, the ongoing climate crisis causing flash flooding worldwide, billions being spent to train AI that tells you to glue your pizza and shoved into every product, and just overall ongoing bleakness. Enjoy, I guess. -- As for the cover artwork, I made it in Assembly on iPad, as I do for all my artworks. I started it by importing assets I designed for previous 202X cover artworks, seeing as they would be used again to depict similar events of the first half of this year. I then created the solar eclipse but had a really hard time drawing an aurora, given the two-colour scheme with no gradients allowed. So I put it aside and designed the Francis Scott Key Bridge and the ship that crashed into it. -- I lost motivation to keep working on its artwork, but then I decided to work on the upper-right corner about AI and felt my creative momentum coming back again, allowing me to quickly put the assets in place to design the rest of the cover artwork. I ended up designing a lot of new icons, such as viruses and space crafts. -- Really though, I’m designing the same stuff over and over again, such as scenes of war, and as I’ve already created soldiers, tanks etc. from previous artworks, it was easy to re-depict again. It took 11 hours to make, but most of it was owing to lag caused by the amount of assets loaded. -- Each track's cover artwork in the 202X series has a black-and-another-colour chaotic cartoon collage aesthetic I call the "202X aesthetic" and all include a word starting with "OVER" in their titles. -- Given the rise in flooding around the world, I've decided this track will be codenamed "OVERFLOW" and use teal to symbolise water. Some of the things depicted in it include: β€’ the solar eclipse, β€’ new lunar spacecraft, β€’ billions spent on AI telling everyone to eat rocks and glue their pizza, β€’ mass data collection, β€’ the spread of long COVID, H5N1, dengue, cholera, measles and malaria, β€’ wars, β€’ missiles, β€’ tanks, β€’ a long row of people voting in front of armed guards, β€’ the magnitude 7.6 earthquake in Japan, β€’ the magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Taiwan, β€’ melting ice caps, β€’ polluted waters, β€’ rising temperatures, β€’ protests on university campuses, β€’ experts agreeing to phase out coal and plastic, β€’ books being burned, β€’ aurorae, β€’ a plane's door falling out, β€’ explosions, β€’ high costs for everything, and β€’ rising water levels flooding numerous parts of the world. -- Let me know what you think on the Fediverse at MASTODON.MOULE.WORLD/@MOULE (or copy and paste @[email protected] into your own instance's search bar), or visit MOULE.WORLD for all MOULE links!more

HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY
HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY - OpDaMyZr's favourite catchphrase, this 60 BPS (3600 BPM) extratone track soundtracks his unimaginable gaming and speedrunning skills as he blasts through levels, exploiting obscure glitches no one else could ever think of to achieve near-impossible world records! One of many tracks in the GLHF album. -- πŸ”Š Stream this on other sites: distrokid.com/moule/hasty-hasty-hasty-hasty 🦊 Pre-order the GLHF album: hyperfollow.com/moule/glhf-2 πŸ‘• HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY Merch: www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/154479754 πŸŽ₯ HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY Cover Art Timelapse: yewtu.be/watch?v=hP_dz4BAcHg -- HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY (originally titled without spaces) began on March 14, 2023 when I compared my extratone tracks to other people's extratone tracks and thought mine were too slow. The original post about it on Mastodon was automatically deleted, but the reply to it showing an earlier version of this track is still available: mastodon.moule.world/@MOULE/110436481564770718 -- I began making something at 3600 BPM in Logic Pro (225 BPM x 16th arp distorted beats) and made it themed around OpDaMyZr, the speed-running gamer fox of MOULE WORLD achieving some unbelievable feats and unbeatable times in speed-running never thought possible, thanks to exploiting very obscure video game glitches! -- Finishing this track in Logic Pro on December 16, 2023 was annoying since every sound was competing against one another to be the loudest, but oddly exporting it produced a much quieter version of this. I used www.mp3louder.com to increase the volume as my attempts made it more distorted-sounding. -- Let me know what you think on the Fediverse at MASTODON.MOULE.WORLD/@MOULE (or copy and paste @[email protected] into your own instance's search bar), or visit MOULE.WORLD for all MOULE links!more
