In 2003, Jonathan began producing music and eventually taught himself how to engineer in his home studio. The skills he acquired allowed him to work with the likes of producer Dwain “Kochease” Warren, when engineering for rapper Choppa from the group “Da Band”. In 2009, Jonathan co-wrote the song “Football Team” with his high school friend, rap artist Holla Front. This song led to Holla Front’s win in the 2009 MTV Best Breakout Atlanta Artist competition. Jonathan went on to engineer his own mixtape, “Return to Art: The Mixtape” in 2011, of which he produced 11 out of 16 tracks. He was also instrumental in recording a mixtape hosted by Don Canon called “700 Bars” by local Atlanta rapper, Mista AP where he was featured on the track, “Salute”. In 2018, Jonathan released his second album, “Return to Art 2”, which consisted of 12 tracks. His latest vocal release, Return to Art 3, was released April 4th, 2020.

"Home" will resonate with those who have loved ones struggling with drug addiction. It is told from the perspective of a concerned friend. The first verse is introspective, with me talking to myself. The second verse is about an emotionally scarred woman who meets a drug dealer and gets hooked on what he sells. In the end, she is finally rescued by her father, and has a long road to recovery - and a testimony! more
