Salt & Skin
"SALT & SKIN" is a melancholic and introspective song that explores themes of memory, nostalgia, and the emotional weight of past relationships. Key characteristics of the song include: Lyrical Depth: The lyrics focus on the lingering presence of someone who has left, using evocative imagery like a signed receipt (0:30), a bicycle left behind (1:53), and the "California light" (1:19) to ground the listener in a specific time and place. Emotional Tone: The recurring refrain, "I don't return because I miss you" (0:52, 1:29, 2:18, 2:55), suggests that the artist revisits these memories not out of a simple longing for a person, but as a way to reconnect with a version of themselves that felt "soft enough to let me through" (1:04, 2:30). Atmospheric Quality: The music carries a sense of quiet reflection, creating a "sacred and feel-less" (2:02) space where the narrator grapples with why certain things ended and why they feel compelled to hold onto the remnants of that past. Ultimately, it is a reflective piece about identity, self-worth, and the transformative power of past experiences. - Mastered by mixea.commore

Soft Boy
Track 13 from my album The Weight We Carry Home Soft Boy is a reclamation, the insult turned trophy, the wound turned tattoo. The production is warm, buoyant, almost playful, and the vocal is the loosest and most joyful on the entire record. It is the sound of a man who has done the work and is now dancing in the living room with the lights on. The album needed exactly this ending, not because the pain is over, but because the pain no longer runs the house. - Mastered by mixea.commore
