Jabel Gai, alias Jabez, a Gambian music producer, graphic designer, dancehall and RnB singer residing in Kanifing Estate. recorded his first debut song in 2006 entitled ‘’Element of surprise’’. The young upcoming star, a producer and an artiste has produced a lot of artistes and has been working with various artistes both local and international. Jabez releases his first debate mixed tape given the name Depression with contains 17, and he feature various Gambian artist and international artists, The songs are produced in different music genres like dancehall, Afro beat and RnB. The Planet bi Studio and the New Money Records, A music record label based in England .The debut mix tape means a lot as most of the songs talk about depression issues, especially jobless youths, unemployment rate, frustrations, war and crimes etc. The ‘’Depression’’ music video has been finally released and produced by New Money in England.’ Jabel is currently residing in Sweden, and working on first albu
