Sweet
I started writing “Sweet” on December 17th, my first night back in New York for the holidays. I was welcomed home by a snowstorm and a bone-chilling temperature for which I knew no remedy other than a piano and a cup of tea. “Sweet” practically wrote itself that night. It had been months since I had written a song I was proud of, but it began to feel as though the writer’s block I experienced was simply this song waiting to be drawn out in its own time. “Sweet” is about the envy for a past self- one who did not know love and existed unburdened by the weight of inescapable memories. more

Promises... (Arranged by John "Daddio" Clarke)
The lyrics... We all make promises For that's what people do But they often end as soon as they begin Before we seldom see them through They fall to Earth like shooting stars Burning out before they crash And it's not too long before they're all gone They never seem to last Promises promises They go whispering by upon the wind Promises promises They go whispering by upon the wind They go whispering down the kitchen drain Outward bound not to be seen Again When we make promises We are just talking in our sleep And we'll wait to learn after we've been burned That day are seldom meant to keep Promises promises They go whispering by upon the wind Promises promises They go whispering by upon the wind They go whispering down the kitchen drain Outward bound not to be seen Again We all make promises For that's what people do But they often end as soon as they begin **** Copyright protected **** more

You, I
| listen to "You, l" and I'm 16 again-sitting at my piano in my bedroom in New York with absolutely no idea what l'm playing. I know only what feels right. In the three years I waited to produce this song, it never failed to come back to me as one that deserved to be shared. I'm stoked that day has finally come. Perhaps the song carries a juvenile perspective on love-identifying a person outside oneself as a harbinger of comfort and hope enough to ease a pain, loneliness, and doubt about the promise of the future. That being said, I still love the way it conveys the potentially massive impact of minor interactions with radiant people. lyrics: I used to blow the candles on the cake Never wish for anything and curse my own name But we locked eyes one day and suddenly I was wishing on stars when I star gazed ‘Cause when it comes to you I am a lover not a fighter And when it comes to you My world feels a little lighter So can you take me home? Can you take me home? Can you take me home tonight? Baggy style couldn’t hide the pain Worn jean knees pray to be my saving grace Mmh you said my name and on my darkest day All my troubles faded away ‘Cause when it comes to you I am a lover not a fighter And when it comes to you My world feels a little lighter So can you take me home? Can you take me home? Can you take me home tonight? If I had known To know you is to love you And that love would be a drug And i could never get enough I would’ve never said hello A life without my fix is a crime Your absence is my kryptonite ‘Cause when it comes to you I And when it comes to you I Just take me home. Take me home Take me home All my lifemore
