Munich

We are Catharina & Andreas—siblings and musical *flâneurs*—who launched a joint musical project this year called *lofi flâneurs*. We grew up in the 1980s in a rural area of Swabia, near Ludwigsburg. Perhaps that goes some way toward explaining why a sense of melancholy and a touch of nostalgia always seem to shine through in our music. Catharina now lives in the Eifel region, working as a yoga and piano teacher, while Andreas lives in Munich and works for an IT company. We continue to make music together. Musically, we sit somewhere between indie and electro, with influences ranging from Portishead, Radiohead, Gorillaz & Blur, Norah Jones to—most notably—Air. Even so, we don’t follow a fixed musical path. We prefer to wander a bit: from song to song, from style to style, and wherever the moment feels right or the journey takes us. What connects our songs is a certain depth, a melancholic undertone.
