Born in Atlanta, Georgia; Sara "came out the womb singing!" in the words of her mother. She first began singing publicly around age 4, by age 6 she had taken after her father (and his father, "Pawpaw") and learned to play the piano, as well as the guitar by the age of 12. Chasing Shadows
The irony is the song was written about writer’s block. The lyrics and melody set the tone of desperation without overkill into hopelessness. The bigger message is about how humans tend to get stuck in endless cycles. In fact, during her live shows, Sara often introduces the song by saying, “This is about not knowing what to do with your life.” Mix in McAteer’s tasteful sprinkling of power notes and melodic runs, and “Chasing Shadows” will turn some heads – and please many ears.more
