Hi there! My name is Josh Thompson, and I'm the sole member of a project by the name of Sinner's Rise. I write, record, produce, and handle all of the mixing and mastering for this project, which is a blast! The music itself has elements of dark, alternative groove metal with a focus on big choruses and a polished vocal sound, all the while taking influence and inspiration from Middle Eastern and Arabic music. As far as my experience goes, I've been playing guitar and singing for around 10 years, in and out of small recording and touring bands for 7 years or so. This one is a little bit more groove oriented, and shows off the Middle Eastern inspiration, for sure. I've loved the sound of Arabic and Middle Eastern music since I was a kid, and blending it with a modern groove metal sound definitely makes for something with an interesting feel.
