I made this song about loving someone despite their scars and trauma. How comparing your life to others' might make you feel down sometimes, but it doesn't mean there isn't something beautiful and lovable in that insecurity.
LYRICS
You don’t gotta please somebody no
You don’t gotta be somebody else
The trauma in your head
The scars on your face
It’s hard not to love
You don’t gotta please somebody no
You don’t gotta be somebody else
The trauma in your head
The scars on your face
It’s hard not to love
I been on my own for long now
Thought I grew past the old me I’m the same guy that’s been gone now
Why’s it so hard to break the traits that make you insecure
Is it so hard to change when I’ve been growing so much for sure
Life made you lose your innocence
And you’re tryna be someone else
It hurts to be the one that feels so stationary
Karma’s getting me for everything
Happiness is always on the fence
It’s hard to face the demons when you start comparing
You don’t gotta please somebody no
You don’t gotta be somebody else
The trauma in your head
The scars on your face
It’s hard not to love
You don’t gotta please somebody no
You don’t gotta be somebody else
The trauma in your head
The scars on your face
It’s hard not to love more
