Due to the nature of the titular event, I’ve been hesitant to release this single. But it just didn’t feel right not doing so. While partial inspiration is obvious, its origin is from a story of a health and wellness check that resulted in the discovery of a young tortured and malnourished eight year old. Some of it may even be autobiographical. This song isn’t just about the tragedy of Sandy Hook, it’s about children as victims of violence and how we cope with that. This is my way.
