Ever wonder about your life? Things you could change… - This song was written last month after another late night episode of reflection on the past and the future. - As a few of you know, I perform all the instruments myself, playing guitar, bass, and programmed the drums after tapping the rhythm on my keyboard and editing the midi script. I also physically sang every note in this piece. However I gave imaginary names for the players because I don’t want my bass player to sound like a frustrated lead guitarist, and of course, vice versa. - Guitars - Scotty Baby Bass - Raphael Drums - So Cal Kyle Vocals - Scotty Backing Vocals - Jarah, Jessie - Software Credits: GarageBand Mac for Recording Plugin Alliance for Mastering VTS for Vocal Harmonies Kits.Ai for Vocal Models Night Cafe for Ai Album Art Canva Studio for Graphic Design - Lyrics: If I Only Knew Scott A. Gradert 2025 - One day when you see I am gone Will my songs be sung By those who were young - And had nothing to lose Maybe broken and blue What would they choose - If you can’t see the years Just passing by If you don’t see the tears A broken life can cry - Regret is slowly losing your mind If I only knew - Now that I am old and I wonder If I had been sold By The things I was told - By those who knew better Lived life by the letter Those real go getters - You can’t change the past So just let it go Life ain’t gonna last In case you didn’t know - So please forgive yourself Instead of me If I only knew - (Backing Vocals throughout Chorus and Outro) Doesn’t matter anyway No one remembers the things you say Nothing matters anyway No one remembers the games you play Nothing matters anyway) - If I only knew yesterday All the things I know now Could I change them somehow And What would I do What would I choose No more singing the blues - Cuz You can’t change the past So just let it go And Life ain’t gonna last In case you didn’t know - Happiness is something you choose If I only knew - One day when you see I am gone Will my songs be sung By those who were young - And had nothing to lose What would they do What would they choose No more singing the blues - If I only knew If I only knew If I only knew - © 2024 Scott A.
