This track is based off the scripture Joel 2:25, where God declares: "And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten" For anyone losing hope that you will ever see a breakthrough. Lyrics: (Ooh-ooh) I see the field you left Brown and bent by storm I counted what was gone You counted what was torn The grain the locust took The joy that slipped away I held the empty jars You held the coming day But You speak over dust And You call it alive You breathe on the ruin And teach the dead to rise Restore the years, restore the years You turn our ashes into grain Restore the years, restore the years You bring the harvest back again What the storm took, what the thief stole Restore the years, restore the years Only You can make us whole You know the long old roads The hours I can't replace The prayers I barely said The tears I hid away Still You are near to me Still You remember all The seed in broken hands The hope inside the fall So I will lift my face To the God who keeps His word You finish what You start You heal the hurt I've heard Restore the years, restore the years You turn our ashes into grain Restore the years, restore the years You bring the harvest back again What the storm took, what the thief stole Restore the years, restore the years Only You can make us whole Breathe on the ruined ground Send rain on the field again Where there was only loss Let mercy start to sing I will not fear the years I will not call them lost You are the God who gives More than the damage cost Restore the years, restore the years Lord, make us whole Restore the years - Mastered by mixea.commore
