- Mastered by mixea.com 💙 BUILT TO STAY 💙 This song is deeply personal. It’s for my stepdad — and for every step-parent out there who chose to stay, to love, and to show up even when they didn’t have to. In my story, it’s about my stepdad, but the message is for anyone who’s ever filled those shoes with patience, love, and loyalty. You deserve the spotlight too. “Built to Stay” is one of the most emotional tracks from my upcoming 2026 album Built by THEM, arriving January 2, 2026 — a singer-songwriter pop record with country hints and a whole lot of my heart and soul. This album is about love, family, and gratitude — the foundation that made me who I am. After everything that’s happened lately — especially with the storm that hit — my eyes opened wide to what really matters. Life’s too short not to chase what we’re meant to do. So this is me starting the new year right: with love, truth, and music that comes straight from the heart. Thank you for listening. 💛 — Dakota Carmonamore
