I have written a lot of songs about the deep feelings and rollercoaster of emotions that I felt during my cancer treatment but this is the one I wrote at the end of it all. When I had my last surgery, finished chemo & my hair started growing back, when I went back to work, when I started going out and feeling like I was half normal. But this song is really about knowing that there are people who won't get to see the rise of the sun tomorrow - and they don't have a clue that today is their last day. Inevitably, it'll happen to every one of us someday, but for each day that it doesn't we should be thankful.
