Fred Maciel, AKA Freddy, is a renowned Brazilian drummer, singer, and songwriter.
He has recorded and toured with many of the most recognized Rock/Pop acts in Brazil, such as Herva Doce, Ritchie, Lobão, Evandro Mesquita, Cazuza, Leo Jaime, Yahoo, Blitz, Erasmo Carlos, Ney Matogrosso, João Penca, to name a few.
In the US he worked with Larry Dunn (Earth, Wind & Fire) in one of his solo projects. Years later Fred joined The Faded, a Los Angeles-based Rock band well known in the Sunset Strip.
Fred Maciel was the original singer of the Portuguese soundtrack version of "Jaspion" released in the '80s. This Japanese Tokusatsu show became a smash hit in Brazil.
With the release of his first solo work, "Stellar”, the first of a few already planned, he continues his musical path with the single When The Sun Goes Down where he sings lead and backing vocals; and plays bass, drums, acoustic, and electric guitars.
