Hi From Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Nina Simone, Chuck Berry; to Marvin Gaye & Anita Ward etc., my music listening & singing was eclectic. (I loved Elvis Presley singing & acting at the same damn time & Barbara Streisand too! Fabulous soundtracks! (#SaturdayAfternoonTVMovies #Oldies) My mom worked as a nurse & left me with a Jamaican family in NYC during her 12-hour shift & my love of Reggae music and Patois emerged. Patra, Lady Saw, Shelly Thunder, Shabba, Tiger, Bounty Killer, Beres Hammond, Bob Marley & much more became synthesized on my neurons. As I matured in life & in music, R&B, New Jack Swing, House &Neo-Soul became my loves. Everything Anita Baker, Vanessa Williams, Sade, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Tracy Chapman, Sybil- “Falling in Love”, everything Prince, Guy, Soul II Soul, Maxwell, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys, Chrisette Michele, Music Soul Child, Amy Whinehouse to name a few, were my best friends. (I am an only child;-) 🤣😭My hyper activity made me open to all music
