Kappone a.k.a. “DJ Kappone”, “The Russian” or “Mad Russian” is known as a Producer, Artist, Composer, Arranger, Mixer, Studio Engineer, On-Air Personality, DJ, Re-Mixer and Talent Developer who comes from the streets of the Mission District in San Francisco, California. Kappone formed the record label called Prime Time Records focusing on Dance, Hip Hop, R & B, House and Pop music and produced artists such as Bass House featuring Tara Kemp, D’Love, Automatic, T Solo, Devonne, TKO$, Simmone Savage, Kold N Motion, Alibi, Perry D, Plan B, D Bros and Thynn Ice, just to name a few. Kappone is credited with discovering artists such as Tara Kemp and producing and releasing the Top Ten Billboard Hit “Hold You Tight” which went Gold. The record label gained recognition working with artists like, America’s Most Wanted (Triad Records), DJ Juanito (Funky Mix/Groove Nation), 2 Bigg MC (K-Tel Records), Chill E.B., DJ EFX, Dos Two/4-Way (Nasty Mix Records), MC Hammer, Ant Banks and I.M.P.
