Atlanta, GA, USA

Legitda7th is a Bermuda-born, Georgia-raised artist blending hip-hop and reggae into a sound he calls "universal music." Before moving to the U.S. in 1993, he was inspired by reggae icons like Queen Patra, Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton, and Maxi Priest. After surviving the 1994 flood in Macon, GA, Legit was introduced to hip-hop through artists like Tupac, Biggie, Outkast, and Goodie Mob. He started making reggae mixtapes as a kid, not realizing he was actually rapping over beats—a hint at the hybrid artist he would become. Now, he draws from both worlds, with major influences like T.I., Buju Banton, Trick Daddy, Eminem, and Bounty Killer. Legitda7th’s music reflects real-life struggles, personal growth, and the desire to inspire. His latest single, “Self Control” (produced by Blazing Beats), represents the next step in his journey as an artist, label owner, and creative force.
