Born and raised in Portland, Oregon and a love of all genres of music, I gravitated to rock, blues and grunge. My uncle taught me the basics on his acoustic guitar and my bestfriend's dad played electric guitar down the street needless to say I was hooked. I was a music junkie and a guitar feind. I started playing on the church praise team, coffee shops, open Mic's and found myself in an acoustic duo. Throughout school I joined band and choir and fell in love. It wasn't immediate though. "I was too macho" & "Choir is for nerds" - i would mutter to myself not fully understanding at the time how truly impactful it would be. The love for music was growing more; it didn't seem to matter what genre i was captivated. I started writing at a young age, and found myself in and out of bands. Groove Thief, where I fell in love with recording and performing, and a 9 piece blues band The One-Eyed kats. I was driven to do my own music but hadn't had the chance-- until now!
